What Does Qadr Mean?

DEFINITION
Qadr (Qadar) refers to everything that Allah has written and allows to happen. You can think of it as predestination, and it is something all Muslims believe in as one of the 6 pillars of iman (faith).
Allah already knows everything that people will do and the choices they will make, without forcing them to do anything. It’s important to understand that although Allah knows what we will, all human beings have free will to do whatever they want. Everyone will be rewarded or punished on the Day of Judgment based on their actions and choices they made throughout their life.
