Annual Qur’an Competition


 

The annual AMA Qur’an competition is back!

We encourage everyone to participate and compete to win. You can use the table of contents to see all of the details of the competition.

AMA seeks to connect the Muslim community with the Qur’an and encourage everyone to memorize it. The Qur’an is a guidance and mercy from Allah.

 
 

Memorization Levels:

Level 1: Last 14 Surah (From Al-Qari’ah to An-Nas) for 6 years and younger

Level 2: Last 27 Surah (From Al-A’laa to An-Nas) for 8 years and younger

Level 3: Juz 30 for 13 years and younger

Level 4: Juz 29 & 30 for 16 years and younger

Level 5: Juz 28, 29 & 30 for 20 years and younger

Level 6: Juz 26 – 30 for 25 years and younger

Level 7: Juz 21 – 30 for 25 years and younger

Level 8: Juz 16 – 30 for 30 years and younger

 
 

Memorization Levels for All Ages:

Level 9: Memorizing An-Nisa for all ages

Level 10: Memorizing Al-Isra and Al-Kahf for all ages

Level 11: Complete Qur’an for ALL ages

 
 

Competition Rules and Guidelines

Registration will close on Saturday, August 12 at 11:59 PM. The first round of the competition will begin on Saturday, August 19-20. The second round of the competition will take place on Saturday, August 26-27.

Note: Students cannot register for the same levels they did in the previous year.

First Round of the Qur’an Competition

Here are the details you need to know regarding the first round of the competition:

Date: Sunday, August 19/20, 2022

Time: After Asr (Iqama is at 5:30 PM)

Location: Community hall of Masjid ar-Rahmah (1216 Hunt Club Rd.)

This is the first round of the competition to test if the participants are eligible for their respective levels.

Details for this testing round:

  • There will be volunteers that will guide you on what do to when you arrive.
  • Judges will ask random questions to the participants in each level to see if they can move to the final competition round.
  • The participants who pass will be emailed with details for the final round of the competition.
