Assalamu alaykum,

The AMA Community Centre, alongside our partner United Way Ottawa, is raising funds to help vulnerable youth in Sawmill-Creek, one of Ottawa’s most at-risk neighbourhoods where our Centre and Masjid is located.

Through the support of donors, youth will participate in a new after-school program, hosted at our AMA Community Centre and offering free homework help, snacks, and recreational programming in 2019.

Programs like these provide many benefits.  They help keep young people safe and off the street during the crucial hours after school.  They also help participants learn valuable skills, and improve their grades.  Youth in this program also build relationships to mentors that can help them be successful later in life.

To launch this program we hope to raise $65,000 for this initiative.  Please join us. Your gift will help ensure these youth have a bright future.

May Allah reward you for your support.
