DEFINITION

Iman refers to sincere belief & faith and must be accompanied by righteous deeds. Core beliefs in Islam include the following 6 articles of faith; 

1. belief in one God; Allah (SWT), 
2. belief in the Angels, 
3. belief in the messengers (eg. Muhammad, Jesus, Moses, and others), 
4. belief in the divine scriptures (eg. Qur’an, Gospel, Torah, and others)
5. belief in the day of Judgement and finally, 
6. belief in Al-Qadar (divine decree of destiny).
