What Does Ramadan Mean?

DEFINITION
Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, observed by Muslims worldwide, as a month of fasting, prayer, reflection and community. During this month Muslims fast each day from the time of dawn until sunset.
Ramadan is known as the month of Qur’an, as the first revelations came down in Ramadan from Allah (SWT), through angel Gabriel to Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).
