Assalam Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,
The severe storm on Saturday, May 21, has caused significant damage, power outages and service disruptions throughout the city. The worst hit areas are Huntsville, Merivale, Navan and Stittsville.
We are collaborating with the United Muslim Organizations of Ottawa-Gatineau to offer assistance to the wider community and help those affected by the storm.
To help congregants and community members (of all denominations) during this time, we have opened the AMA Community Centre (basement) at 1216 Hunt Club Road, Ottawa, ON, K1V 2P1, for use. Operation hours are 9:00 AM until 10:30 PM.

You can drop by the centre to:
- Have snacks offered at AMA Community Centre from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM
- Heat your meals using the Microwave ovens in the centre
- Charge your phones and electronic devices. Please bring and share an extension cord with others
- Use washroom facilities
- Eat a hot meal offered at 6:00 PM that is available for seniors, single parent families, and people in need.
Please note: Registration is required since we will be serving 200 meals only. We can organize volunteers to drop-off meals if required.

We humbly request community members to use the Community Hall while resting at the masjid and to supervise their children. The prayer hall is meant for prayers only.
